Visionary Art for the Discriminating Eye
Visionary art is art that purports to transcend the physical world and portray a wider vision of awareness including spiritual or mystical themes. Hadley Sedgwick’s artwork is visionary in this sense. It might be viewed as capturing the essence of an animal, person or place, but through the lens of her own experience. Through her work she invites into her world, and offers us a way of looking at things that is both intuitive and new.
