Artist Statement
These pieces are me—they are expressions of who I am. These small animals have my own naiveté, innocence and spontaneity. Further beneath the surface, they all bear wounds and scars, permanent lines rendered awkwardly across their faces and bodies. Yet, against this backdrop an inner beauty shines through. Glossy, shimmering, bright colors, and cute, childlike expressions suggest true personal transformation. - Hadley Kelly
About Hadley
A graduate from the Herron School of Art, Hadley Kelly currently works in ceramics, bringing sculpture to outdoor and garden settings. Art retailers across the country find demand for her spontaneity, taste, and playful expression. Hadley makes her home on Tybee Island, Ga. with her kiln and two dogs.
